Hopping Back on the Monday Poetry Train

Fade Away Naturally

Color me with bold strokes
blindly

And outside the lines
of preconceived notions

For one day I will fade
mutely

And all that will remain
are dusty memories

Drifting in the wind
soundlessly.

Beautiful poem! I like how you touch on the senses in the italicized words. And the idea of coloring outside the lines to describe yourself is cool!

Very cool, gentle, beautifully phrased around the idea.

Strong poem.
I like the emphatic effect of italicizing those 3 words. It works

I will always color you with bold strokes, Lakota.

Well done and nice structural use of the font to systematize and to highlight the parts.

Two words come to mind when I read this...
taut
(and)
powerful
