Amazing
I just got this in an email from a local artist. This is so freaking unbelievably awesome! And I HATE this song (and the sound of music)! You HAVE TO WATCH THIS!!!!
At 8am a recording of Julie Andrews singing 'Do, Re, Mi' begins to play on the public address system. As the bemused passengers watch in amazement, 200 dancers begin to appear from the crowd and station entrances. They created this amazing stunt with just two rehearsals.
I love flash mobs. I think my favorite thus far was the Single Ladies flash mob in London, but I think I'll about fall down and die if someone does Poker Face.
Is that what they are called Woozala? I had never seen something like this before but love it. A friend of mine who just graduated from college is talking about organizing guerrilla poets - where they just show up in public places and read poetry to unsuspecting bystanders and in some cases force the bystanders to read it. I thought it sounded hysterically funny and wonderful. I need to see if there is any news on Flash Mobs - it would make a GREAT topic for tomorrow's show. xxxxxxx
You can certainly learn about them but I don't know how much actual *news* there'll be on flash mobs other than ones that happened in the past; in order for them to work they need to be kept secret from the public.
And for interest's sake here's the Single Ladies one.
As a firm believer in the benefits of spontaneous public singing and dancing, (much to my children’s chagrin). I thought that was great. It was amazingly well choreographed.
